About Us
R.A.C.E. Residents Against Contaminated Environments was formed by Bob and Kathy Holmes residents of South Broken Hill in 2009. We now have over 60 members who are all concerned about the impact that the Proposed Mining Activities At Rasp Mine by BHOP will have on our environment and the health issues that may be caused to the residents of Broken Hill if this proposal is approved.
Our aim is to inform the residents of the proposal in full and to create a better avenue of discussion between the residents of South Broken Hill, the EPA and the Rasp mine. And to ensure that any mining operations that are carried out take into consideration the health and well being of the community.
