Wincen Cuy was totally out of line with his remark about the disruption to “a few residents”. Does he think that any amount of residents deserve less than a happy content life. He was not voted in to look after the mines or big business, he was voted in by the rate paying residents for the benefit of the rate paying residents. If Mr Cuy cared to add up the number of houses on this route and the number of houses that are adjacent to the route taking into account that these houses are the homes of families, along with the residents of 2 Nursing homes he would realise there are many more than a few residents that are going to have their lives disrupted by these trucks. Anon Perilya should return some of the profit they will make back into the community and save the residents from the risk and discomfort that these trucks will inflict. Naomi Dodd
To Rasp & Perylia or any other mine that wants to operate in Broken Hill "Do the right thing by the community" A profit can still be made after you spend money protecting the environment and cleaning up your mess. Independent lead testing should be done to monitor contaminants and I will volunteer to have a dust monitor placed in my yard. Kathy Holmes
This is blatant disregard for the health of residents of Broken Hill. Council should be screaming NO! NO! NO! Anon
Being new to town i am stunned at how the mining industry has left certain parts of our environment. The visual contamination as well as the toxic waste left to contaminate all (inc all flora and fauna) whom reside close to these areas worries me a great deal. Miners today have rigid obligations. I am unsure as to whether these are being complied with. Glen Ravenscroft
I grew up on Eyre St. And as an adult live in a high risk area I suffered the ill effects of lead poisoning as a child and have ongoing symptoms that I will suffer for the rest of my life. My concern now is for my daughter. Rasp mine can not contain the dust that they will be creating with this crusher. If council approve this proposal they will be responsible for allowing Rasp to poison yet another generation of residents. I oppose this proposal! Ella Willadsen

I have 2 young sons and the trucks thatPrilya are planning to use would be a disaster for their health and well being. Neesha Rolton
This increase in the number of trucks that use Eyre St is only going to be detrimental to the quality of my life. Council needs to consider the effects of the extra heavy traffic in regard to the health and general well being of the people along this route. Anon
I wish to have more information provided in layman terms please. I feel that even with limited knowledge on this matter it is clear that this is an environmental disaster for my family life. My main concerns are noise pollution, traffic accidents, more lead dust/pollution, damage to our homes structure from firings and decreased value in land and property prices. These are real concerns for my family, people who are employed at this location return home to a peaceful environment, we have to live here and endure the above conditions. Paula Pace
From 18 months old I lived in Eyre St. When I moved out as an adult I moved as far as I possibly could from the high risk areas, thinking it would be safer. But I was unaware that the lead effects all parts of Broken Hill. I now live just off Eyre St with my partner and 2 young kids. The symptoms of lead poisoning are well documented. And I have suffered from many of them since I was a child. The symptoms eased for some time but since Rasp has began operations over the last 2 years my symptoms are steadily getting worse again. The health of the 2 kids that live with me are much more important than the mine making a profit you can’t put money before the health and welfare of the innocent children in our community. I am against this proposal 110% Ashley Willadsen
The former south Mine site does not just involve problems with lead dust and pollution. the site is in fact a toxic heavy metals dumping ground and there are people out there with proof of this... someone needs too ask about the work for the dole poisonings and coverups in the period of 2002-2003 .There are some Substances that are some of the worst known poisons to man that are showering this town with it's Dust and possibly maybe raining into our water Supply someone should interview some former Employee's of the Line Of Lode Who can Truthfully attest to these Claims. Anon
The noise, pollution and disturbances outweigh the possible small benefits (if any) to the residents of Broken Hill by far and, this project should therefore not go ahead until further detailed discussions. Rolf Zullig
