Concerns raised by residents
- Increased noise from firings, more possible damage to windows etc.
- Increased lead dust levels accumulating on our property.
- An increase in other heavy metals.
- Increased noise from trucks on Eyre Street.
- An overall increase in noise and dust from 30-40 employees (as stated in SEE), travelling to various locations on the mine site and up and down Eyre St.
- Decreased valuation of our properties.
- An increase in the lead levels of our children and grandchildren, reminiscent of the 70s 80s and early 90s before the lead centre did extensive lead remediation work on many of our properties.
- Disbursement of poisons from the separation process that are in the ground from past operations
- Increase in poisons that are used in the separation process
- The impact of lead on family pets.
- The effect the extra dust will have on residents with health issues such as Asthma.

Questions raised by residents

Will the mine pay for Independent regular lead testing?

Will the mine pay for any medical expenses, and or medications arising from any extra lead and dust for instance ventolin and anti histamines for people who suffer from Asthma and allergies on days when dust is created from operations?

pay for vet expenses related to lead poisoning of pets?

Will the mine remove and replace the bad soil & plant and maintain trees along the boundaries of the mine in Eyre lane?

Will the mine pay to have Lead remediation work carried out as necessary including top dressing lawns, removing dirt, planting trees removal of dust from ceilings etc. work that has already been carried out by the lead centre?
